Our Story
About Advanced Landscaping
A Legacy Rooted in 1919
In 1919, Edna Trobaugh moved to Hamblen County and began a horticulture enterprise that would span more than 60 years. She started with a simple formula: listen to the customer and give them more than they expect. When you ordered a dozen roses, you always got 13 blossoms.
Her son, Tom, carried on that tradition by expanding the business, operating two large nurseries and one of the largest greenhouse operations in the area. Landscaping was one of his favorite activities, and many of the older homes in the area bear his mark.
In 1985, the florist operation was sold, and Advanced Landscaping Services was born. Starting with one employee and one truck, the company has grown through decades of dedicated service to East Tennessee homeowners and businesses.
Meet the Owner

Design and planning are central to every project. The process begins with an initial consultation to determine the wants and needs of the property owner, followed by a custom design created with video imaging software that shows clients exactly what their property will look like.
